Mini is at this strange age where it is really hard to keep her occupied with something for longer than a couple minutes. She is a very social person, and has a hard time keeping herself entertained unless she has someone to play with her. So, lately I've been desperately trying to find something for her to play with on her own. I was trying to think about what I really liked when I was her age, and one of the things I remember playing with were felt cutouts that my mom had made for us. They would stick to the couch, which was quite thrilling. I don't remember many of them, but I do remember a black horse and an apple tree. So, as a "shout out" to my childhood I made some for Mini. I started out making a horse, 3 girls and a few outfits for her to dress them up in. I wasn't really sure what I was doing, and bought some cheap felt from Michaels. It turns out the cheap kind worked out fine for the clothes but not for the dolls. It was too thin and I had a hard time drawing details on them because it was so fuzzy. So... here is my first attempt. I think I'll end up redoing the dolls eventually with better felt.
I also made some outfits to dress them up in. (I happen to like the little red baby doll dress the best.)
Here is my attempt at a horse.
And here is a dog drawn by the one and only M. We call it Chewy, seeing that it has a sort of wookie look about it.

- Welcome to Em's world. I am a stay at home/ work at home (when the odd job presents itself) mom. I have the privilege to spend every single day with my sweet/crazy 5 yr. old daughter, Mini M. and my little man, Baby W. who was born May 3rd. I can't forget the best part of my life- my hub. C.N., who happens to be the sweetest, funniest fella alive. We have been married almost 6 years. So that's me and my fam.
