Merry Christmas to me!

CN has had a tenancy to spoil me lately. On top of many other wonderful things he's done for me in the past few months, yesterday he gave me an early Christmas present. A flippin amazing Christmas present, I might add. This puppy. A Nikon D40. Absolutely scrumptious. He needed a camera for work, so instead of buying himself one, he bought me the Nikon and he's going to use my old camera. What a fella.

A few snapshots of our fun morning at the mall.

Here I type, while inhaling and exhaling into a paper bag. OK. Not really, but almost! In 2 months we are going to be moving up the road. Eek! Scary, but slightly exciting. I'm trying not to think of the insane amount of work that is needed to be done at first, but I know eventually things will settle down and we are going to enjoy our new house. The house is small and needs a lot of work, but it's in a wonderful location, (Across the street from a cider mill... could you ask for anything more??) and has almost 3 acres. Here are some pictures of our new future back yard.

DC was wonderfully fun. CN and I got there a day before the rest of our friends so we could hang out on our own. Did I mention it was wonderful? It was a strange feeling to be able to do whatever you wanted, whenever. No breakfast/nap/lunch/nap/dinner/bedtime routine to adhere to. Dessert at 11pm, why not?

The night before the wedding we spent with our friends relaxing and catching up. We met for dinner at a lovely French restaurant where we shared cheese platters and I had the most amazing duck confit. After dinner we went to the hotel where the wedding reception would be to meet up with the wedding party for drinks.

The wedding was perfect. It took place in gorgeous church in Georgetown. The reception was beautiful, fancy, and fun. Dinner and dessert was amazing, but the topper of the evening, in CN's opinion was the espresso and cookie bar. Ah... heaven.
