So. We are officially homeowners... um... hurrah? No. It's good, just at this point all I can think about is all the work that needs to go in the house. I know if anyone can get it all done, we can. Thank goodness for a hub. who's a builder. I have no idea how we're going to finance everything... I suppose in the back of my head somewhere I'm hoping to find a pot of gold under the pee stained living room carpet when we rip it up, or some pirate gold dubloons in the little shed outside. Not too realistic, huh? Ah well. I guess never knowing where money is going to come from adds a bit of excitement to our lives, right? Really... who doesn't want a more exciting life?

A glimse into CN's family...

Overheard during CN's family's Christmas get together...

CN's great aunt to her brother. (CN's grandpa) Looks out at the room full of the 30 plus adults and kids opening presents.

Great Aunt- "How does it make you feel to see all these people descended from you? Isn't it wonderful???"
Grandpa- Looks over the room thoughtfully and remarks loudly, "Aww! I guess I got somethin' to show for my screwin!"

Welcome to the family.

Merry Christmas!!

Hope you had a happy Christmas!

Decking the Halls.

So. Christmas has officially begun. Poor Thanksgiving has been kicked to the curb and now we're on to something more thrilling, and that involves much better food and decorations. (In my opinion.) Last Monday was the first night of the light show our downtown puts on every year, so we bundled up and headed into the cold. After CN got his obligated mutterings about gaudiness and premature Christmas celebrations out of the way we had a lovely, freezing time. You see, my dear husband is one of those grinches that believe that Christmas should be celebrated ON and right around Christmas not a month before. Bah Humbug! to him. I love decorating for Christmas and really don't think one can have too many decorations or start celebrating too early. As long as it's after T.Giving and as long as your decorations don't include this.

Giving Thanks.
